Koichi Takazawa – President
Takazawa brings to Apani extensive leadership experience in the information technology, communications and security arenas with executive roles spanning from senior manager to president and chief executive officer. With over a quarter century of senior management and business expertise, Takazawa has developed a keen understanding of the complexities involved in building and expanding successful networking and security companies. Prior to joining Apani Networks, Takazawa served as President and CEO of Netlock Technologies. In his tenure he has held key leadership positions at Advanced Software Automation Japan Corp., ASCII Corp., ASCII Something Good Corp, and BeXcom Japan. More recently, as Senior Manager of the Cyber Security Division at SECOM Co., Takazawa led the Government and Financial Sales team. Takazawa holds a BS in Physics with Academic Distinction and a Doctorate in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Scott Ferguson – Vice President, Product Management
Ferguson is the vice president of product management for Apani. In this role he is responsible for directing the development of Apani's market requirements for the company's innovative EpiForce software technology. Ferguson brings a wealth of industry experience to Apani and has held key management positions with a variety of companies including Avaya Networks, Akoura Networks, Colubris Networks, Nortel (New Oak) and Xyplex Networks. Ferguson has more than 25 years of domestic and international experience within the enterprise and carrier network industries. Having held a variety of senior positions in engineering product management and marketing, Ferguson has been responsible for the successful market introductions of a number of software, hardware and network service related products.
